Chris Soules is a fourth-generation farmer from Arlington, Iowa (population 429). Youngest child and only son of Gary and Linda Soules. Three older sisters. He learned to drive a tractor before he could drive a car. The farm was never a backup plan. It was always the plan.
He played football at Starmont High School (state runner-up his senior year), ran track, and was active in FFA. After graduating in 2000, he went to Iowa State University and earned a degree in Agricultural Studies. Then he came home to farm.
Today Chris runs the day-to-day at Soules Family Farms, a diversified corn, soybean, and hog operation that has been in the family for four generations. He works alongside family on some of the most productive ground in Northeast Iowa.
“I'm a fourth-generation farmer. My father, mother, and I raise soybeans, corn, and hogs in Northeast Iowa. Most of my friends are either farmers or work in industries that support farming.”
Outside the cab, Chris works as a Farmland Acquisition Specialist. He helps investors and operators find and acquire agricultural land across the Midwest. His understanding of soil quality, land values, and farming operations makes him a trusted voice in the ag investment space. He has spoken at the Global AgInvesting Conference, Canada's Farm Progress Show, and the Land Investment Expo.
Chris has built one of the largest farming audiences on social media. He posts real content from the field: planting, harvest, livestock, equipment, and the daily grind of running a farm. Brands, ag companies, and media outlets regularly partner with him to reach the farming community.
You might also know Chris from his time on network television — he appeared on The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Dancing with the Stars. He used every platform to talk about agriculture and rural America. But the TV career was a chapter, not the story. The farm is the story.
